Our third annual “Tomatoes Got Talent” show took place on Sunday, March 13, at the Triad on West 72nd Street in NYC.  Produced by The Three Tomatoes and Randie Levine-Miller, who also emceed, the talent show competition featured 12 fabulously talented “tomatoes” who never gave up on their dreams of performing.  Their stories are inspiring and their talent wowed the house.  Photo credits:  Maryann Lopinto; Video: Jim Vern

Top prize went to Kathleen Waters, who by day is a legal secretary.  She is also a 9/11 WTC survivor.  Runners up were Beth Goehring, a book publishing executive; Jane Deeken, a personal assistant to a New York philanthropist and Patrice Richardson, who owns a consignment boutique in East Northport.

For the third year in a row, the judges were show business veterans: Margaret Colin, TV and Stage Actress; Beth Fowler, Tony Award nominated actress/singer, as well as SAG Award winner for “Orange Is the New Black”;  and Alyce Finell, co-director of The Mabel Mercer Foundation.

This year’s winner, Kathleen Waters, along with Karen Nason, 2014 winner and Susan Vardy, last year’s winner, will perform in “Randie Levine-Miller’s Showstopper Divas” on June 15 at the Triad, along with Lee Roy Reams and Christine Pedi.  Net proceeds will benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
