Eats is the ultimate foodie event.  Head to Worth Square in the heart of Flatiron and sample the diverse flavors of the city’s best restaurants and food entrepreneurs. The highly anticipated fall event draws hungry crowds of neighborhood residents, workers, and tourists who enjoy this unique opportunity to savor offerings from buzzworthy eateries. Sept. 6. Art & Activism” at SVA Theatre

NYC LIFE: Wine, Divas, Eats, Arts and MoreJoin Valerie Smaldone when she hosts an evening of lively conversation and powerful presentations by three celebrated artists of our time. “Art & Activism,” is a free event that illuminates how various art disciplines respond to our uncertain times.

The event includes celebrated political satirist, Steve Brodner, well known for his illustrations and cartoons in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Rolling Stone and The Washington Post; visual and performance artist, puppeteer, educator and curator, Ed Woodham, founder of the public art project, Art in Odd Places; and actress, comedian and news commentator, Nancy Giles, best known for her witty commentary on CBS News Sunday Morning.

Wednesday, September 6 at 6:30PM at School of Visual Arts Theatre (333 West 23rd Street).  There is no admission fee, but reservations are suggested. RSVP by emailing ce@sva.edu. Get more details.


Sept. 18. Randie-Levine Miller’s Showstopper Divas and Divos

Hurry and get your tickets to Randie Levine Miller’s annual raise the roof show, a benefit for the Actors Fund. Among the amazing performers are  Adam Grupper (veteran of 11 Broadway shows, most recently “Fiddler on the Roof” where he played the Rabbi and went on as Tevye 42 times); Barbara Minkus (most recently starred in her one-woman show “I’m Not Famous;” starred as Molly Picon in “Picon Pie,” and originated the role of Lucy in the original “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” recording); and Richard Skipper – a prolific raconteur, entertainer, writer and singer – who regularly helms and hosts his own mega-watt tribute shows.  Sept. 18 @ 7PM, the Triad, New York City. Sept. 26.  Cocktails and Conversations.

Join Janet Wise at the launch of her new social/networking events, SOCIAL TABLES.  The events are designed for accomplished women leaders to come together and celebrate your successes, make connections, and start really meaningful conversations over cocktails, while experiencing an innovative, fun, unscripted yet facilitated experience. Sept. 30. Tulis McCall. 

Tullis McCall wowed Tomatoes as the opening speaker at our Renewal Summit earlier this year. She is very funny Tomato and a fabulous monologist. Catch her new show, All in Good Time. The Sept. 14th show sold out! A show added September 30th at 7:30pm.
