The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Three Binge Worthy Shows

This just premiered on Amazon and we have already binged on three episodes. This funny and unique series takes place 1958 New York. Midge Maisel’s life is on track- husband, kids, and elegant Yom Kippur dinners in their Upper West Side apartment. But when her life takes a surprise turn, she has to quickly decide what else she’s good at – and going from housewife to stand-up comic is a wild choice to everyone but her. And we love the retro clothes, cars, apartments and the entire late ‘50s vibe. There are eight in the first season, but the great news is it’s been renewed for another ten episodes.

The Deuce

Three Binge Worthy Shows

This is not a show for everyone, since it features graphic sex scenes, and lewd language, but it is a very gritty look at New York City in the ‘70s when Times Square was a sewer of crime and prostitution. Starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, who are fabulous, The Deuce explores the rough-and-tumble world at the pioneering moments of what would become the billion-dollar American sex industry. Season one available on demand at HBO. Season two has been renewed.
