So many of the landmarks in LA we all remember with fondness are disappearing so it tickles me pink tomatoes that the Hamburger Hamlet has finally re-opened in the valley with many of the old favorites and some new additions to the menu and its traditional casual comfort. I used to frequent the one on Sunset, the original that opened in 1950 and so it’s nice to know that I can rekindle that bit of nostalgia now in Sherman Oaks. This location was the Hamburger Hamlet’s last stand but it closed only to return this past September refreshed and restored; ready to open it’s doors and serve “their simply marvelous food and drinks” again.
