Joe’s Café
I discovered Joe’s Café in Granada Hills after hearing much buzz and reading glowing reviews. So, when I popped in many months ago, I relished the uniqueness, friendly service, and the modern homey atmosphere tickled me pink. It’s my kind of place gals.
I love “Mom and Pop” type restaurants, especially when they shop locally and all the food is fresh and homemade and Joe’s certainly fits the bill. I am especially delighted when the food and the atmosphere are so pleasing tomatoes. I did not know that Chef and Co-owner Joe Wetherbee had won the Food Network’s “Chopped”, in 2014. Make sense why it is so good. Their hot chocolate is to die for. And the omelets are amazing. Joe’s takes your classic favorites and makes them great by putting a simple twist on the normal. From fresh house-made jams to homemade pies by Joe’s sister, they do it all by hand tomatoes. It is definitely worth a try.
Heads up ladies, if you go on the weekend for breakfast or early lunch be prepared to wait because this is a very popular eatery.
