I’m happy to say that our Magical and Merry Holiday afternoon this past Saturday, with fab women artisans and wonderful guests, simply rocked! Grand Park’s “Winter Glow” is new and, boy oh boy, is it bright! This Tomato discovered a wonderful museum that is celebrating Christmas, Edwardian Style. The Moonlight Forest at the Arboretum has just about everything for celebrating the season with a different kind of flair. And if you love holiday lights on the water head to the Long Beach Parade of Lights Tomatoes! Tell them I sent you.  Lots to enjoy this Season Ladies!

Till January 6. Edwardian Style Christmas

My Tomato hubby and I finally visited the little- known, delightful and enlightening gem of this little museum, The Pasadena Museum of History.  We LOVED it! It is a great way to celebrate the season with the Fenyes Mansion and their Finnish Folk Art Museum decked out to perfection with Edwardian Christmas Trimmings. Get tickets. You will love it Tomatoes.

Plus, the Gallery’s landmark exhibition “Something Revealed: California Women Artists Emerge, 1860 to 1960 will knock your socks off.   I wrote about this exhibit a few months ago but to see the work of these talented, unrecognized brilliant women artists up close and personal is a stunning experience that you do not want to miss ladies.  I mean it.  There’s also a lovely garden to sit and reflect about everything you have seen and, of course, I absolutely HAD to stop in their adorable gift shop.  I came out with a few wonderful gifts. We had such a marvelous time there I didn’t want to leave.  It’s a must see Tomatoes!

Now til Jan. 6. Moonlight Forest at the Arboretum

Tomatoes will find gorgeous lanterns, roaming Peacocks, amazing performances, and free parking at the Arboretum’s Moonlight Forest! The Lantern Art displays are made up of hundreds of individual lanterns each one handcrafted by skilled artisans. Wow! Don’t miss the chance to experience this magical garden Tomatoes!

You can also enjoy live acrobats, dancers and delicious food while your eyes are popping with the glow of the lights. There are only 4 weeks left to see the festival the Moonlight Forest, so get your tickets before they sell out.

December 15. Long Beach Parade of Lights

Tomorrow’s 35th annual “Long Beach Boat Parade of 1,000 Lights,”starting outside the Shoreline Marina,  is literally 1,000 lights Tomatoes.  A plethora (I mean A LOT!) of colorfully lighted boats and yachts will be sailing for your pleasure Tomatoes. Gotta love those Holiday Boat Parades!

The parade route will begin outside Shoreline Marina, move toward Island White, circle near the beach, move into and through Shoreline Marina and on to Rainbow Harbor past Parker’s Lighthouse Restaurant, Pine Avenue Pier, Gladstone’s departing Rainbow Harbor passing by the Queen Mary.  They say the best viewing locations are in Shoreline Village, Rainbow Harbor and the Queen Mary in Long Beach… of course. Get there early gals to get parking.

Through December 25.  Winter Glow

It’s new and it’s fab Tomatoes.  This immersive nighttime art experience in DTLA’s Grand Park, not only celebrates the holidays but celebrates light as a giver of warmth, a source of beauty and for bringing people together in the winter months. Great way to make new LA holiday memories Tomatoes!

Stroll through the 12-acre art, projection and light display exhibit and see the wonder of Grand Park, the Arthur J. Will Memorial Fountain and other elements, shining in exciting ways you’ve never never-seen before.  Yep, Tomatoes, it is a brand- new Downtown Holiday Treat!
