Oct 12. Pasadena Art Walk
Holy Cow! The 14th Annual “Pasadena ARTWalk” with its incredibly wide range of selected art and music from some of the very best Southern California artists, tis a tad mind boggling. And it takes place in my favorite area of Pasadena, the Playhouse District which is the cultural heart of Pasadena. Plus…it’s FREE. Need I say more Tomatoes?!
Yes, I think I will say a bit more. The Pasadena ARTWalk is Pasadena’s largest urban art fair. The event highlights visual artists showcasing their work in painting, sculpture, watercolor, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, drawings, and printmaking while celebrating the Pasadena’s Playhouse District and all it has to offer. There will also be a Juried Art Show & Sale, an Art Stroll, a Walking Tour of the Playhouse District, Free & Reduced Museum Admission and Live Entertainment. Remember, it is free and all-ages are welcome. It does certainly sound like it has something for everyone, Tomatoes.

Oct 12. Arts Bridging the Gap
“Arts Bridging the Gap” is a free pop up art show fundraiser to celebrate Art, the impact art has on the community and the mission this non-profit organization has with drinks and snacks. Art brings such joy to our spirit and the work of ABG is definitely worth celebrating Tomatoes.
All art on display at the “Arts Bridging the Gap”event is for sale and 100% of proceeds go towards their work to provide arts education to underserved communities in order to have youth and their families experience their best lives and futures. The art is a combination of pieces from their stable of professional artist, students and LAPD officers in their program and friends of ABG who have kindly donated their professional work. Primo artist Amy Smith, one of my favorite artists, has donated work to this fundraising event this year.
“Arts Bridging the Gap” is a 501©(3) Charitable Organization that provides impactful, evidence-based arts programs for children in disadvantaged to under-resourced neighborhoods. Their comprehensive programs support children’s cognitive development and cultivate creative problem-solving skills prized by employers. Through the resources and support Arts Bridging the Gap provides, children in high-need areas can improve their quality of life, academic success, and future prospects. You know what I like to say, Tomatoes, Art can save the world and its children, Tomatoes.
