LA LIFE: Best Life and Halloween Fun
It’s all about Halloween this week, Tomatoes, except, for this very important and worthy life-changing event, “Live Your Best Life Luncheon.” With Halloween quickly approaching, what could be cooler than celebrating with “Boo!nion” at our beautiful Union Station. There is no way I cannot give a huge shout out to the “Haute Howl’oween Dog Parade” in Long Beach. For the darker side of Paramount Studios, you might want to catch the uber scary “After Dark Tour”. And Malibu Wines is celebrating with “Malibu Lights Haunted Nights.” Who knows, maybe the wine is haunted too! Enjoy it all this week, Tomatoes.
Oct 29. Live Your Best Life
Grief Haven is an incredibly important nonprofit and it is time for their annual “Live Your Best Life Luncheon” at the Luxe Hotel in Bel Air. Catherine Gray, a super-duper accomplished LA Tomato, will be their guest speaker along with a terrific lunch, a ton of shopping and inspiration and a big dose of love and kindness all to support griefHaven’s mission. Get your tickets this second Tomatoes.
Because they could definitely sell out Ladies. It doesn’t get any better than having awesome Catherine Gray, pioneering documentary film producer, speaker and author, as your Keynote speaker talking about the “7 Simple Steps to Empower Your Legacy”. What a treat! And “Grief Haven” is a nonprofit everyone should be aware of. The Erika Whitmore Godwin Foundation known as “Grief Haven”is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to assisting parents whose children have died, as well as family members, friends, professionals, and those who want to lend their support but aren’t sure how. They provide hope, support, education, and love for grieving parents, siblings and those who support them. The Erika Whitmore Godwin Foundation has 5 goals: (1) to provide hope and support to any parent whose child dies; (2) to support siblings, family members, and friends impacted by the death of a child; (3) to educate the public about the death of a child, letting them know how they can support parents in rebuilding their lives; (4) to educate and collaborate with professionals who deal with the death of a child; and, (5) to provide ways for parents to honor their child and siblings to honor their brothers and sisters.
October 26 & 27. Boo!nion Station
Union Station, LA’s historic downtown landmark, is back with its 2nd Family Friendly Halloween Hoopla… “Boo!nion Station.” Oh my…that’s a mouthful. Union Station will transform its already beautiful self and the South Patio grounds for 2 days into a festive party haven for ghosts, goblins, kids, pets, families and Tomatoes to enjoy and celebrate Halloween!
Time to get out your funniest or scariest costume for this free, fun and ghoulishly gleeful garden Halloween party. It all includes the Zombie Hay Maze, Treats on Track Trail, Creepy Craft Camper, Monster Mash Dancing, Pumpkin Patch Picnic and Food Trucks, a Pet Parade and Creepy & Clever Costume Contest, Cobweb Craft Camper, Spooktacular Selfie Booth and Halloween Characters and…oh gosh…Howling Stilt Walkers. Wow! Sounds like it will be a smashing Halloween for all Tomatoes and their families.

Oct. 28. Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade
Yes, my lovely Tomatoes, my Grand Dog, Bruce Nugget the English Bulldog, will be dressed to the nine’s in Halloween doggie costume so he can strut, wobble and slobber through the “Haute Dog Howl’oween Dog Parade” in Long Beach. Bruce is born to be a star what can I say. What a fantabulous way to celebrate Halloween week Ladies!
The 19th annual “Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade” expects more than 500 costumed dogs and a few thousand gawkers. I’ll be one of those gawkers as I have to support my daughter’s precious doggie and I know it will be so much fun. Haute Dogs is expected to again donate thousands of dollars to the Community Action Team (CAT) and other animal welfare programs from money raised. You can reserve VIP seats like me if you want. Only $10 and it all goes to the same good cause. It’s going to be a blast and a half Tomatoes.

For “Tales from the Other Side” and a spooky aspect of Paramount Studios, Tomatoes, check out their “After Dark Tour”. Moonlight is when the haunting and the chills up your spine begin and when the darker stories and scandals of a time gone by reveal themselves. OOOOH! Scary!
To calm your nerves, Tomatoes, you’ll be welcomed with a champagne toast upon arrival and you’ll be treated to gourmet popcorn and movie candy at a secret location. Plus, you will have exclusive access to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery located next door. And…parking is complimentary. Yeah! It’s a very mysterious adventure Tomatoes where you’ll be surrounded by dead, famous and infamous, and all the superstitions that are still present in Hollywood today.
