Streaming Shows to Add to Your Fall Watch List

The anecdote to debate watching, is to be carried away in an engaging TV series. We have three today to recommend. Ratched! Is the prequel to “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.”  Dr. Foster, a British import, gives new meaning to a woman scorned. And we are so excited that after a two-year hiatus, the fifth season of “Last Tango in Halifax” has returned to PBS.

Ratched—Dark and Campy

How did Nurse Ratched become the evil person she was in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest?” Well all is answer in the Ratched a prequel.  Sara Paulson brilliant portrays the lead character. The year is In 1947, Mildred Ratched begins working as a nurse at a leading psychiatric hospital. But beneath her stylish exterior lurks a growing darkness. It’s a campy dark show, and the clothes, and setting, and the sets are stunning! Watch on Netflix.

Doctor Foster – Riveting

When she suspects her husband is cheating on her, Dr. Gemma Foster starts an investigation that leads her down a dark path of obsession. Dr. Foster gives new meaning to a woman scorned is this riveting and incredibly well-acted British series. She is a very complex character to say the least. Watch on Netflix.

Last Tango in Halifax Returns

We’ve been huge fans of these BBC series since the start, and are thrilled that after a two-year hiatus it’s back with season five.  It’s like catching up with old friends. From award-winning writer Sally Wainwright it’s an uplifting comedy drama about romance and second chances. The series has been praised for its depiction of the older generation, strong acting, and believable dialogue.
