Immersive, Intimate, Theater Experience
When you hear the title of the company, Candle House Collective, a beautiful shop filled with fragrant candles comes to mind.
Candle House Collective is anything but. Founded in 2018, it is an experimental theatre company that creates intimately immersive experiences. And I mean intimate. One-on- one kind of intimate. How is this accomplished? The tagline for the company is “immersive theatre on the other end of the line.” Through the use of a phone call and text messages, a connection is established from performer to ticket holder. The pieces are available to be experienced in the comfort and safety of your home, anywhere in the world. All you need is a phone.
It’s a brilliant idea and so perfect for our Covid era.
It should be noted that many of the offerings are of the thriller/psychologically intense nature. In fact, they warn that the highly interactive experiences “may not be for the faint of heart.”
Currently available is Good Morning starring William Youmans, who has appeared in Wicked and To Kill a Mockingbird on Broadway.
Using texts and phone calls, this is truly a unique way to enjoy storytelling remotely and privately. Learn more.
