NYC is blooming, and our roving photographer has captured the moments. Downton Abbey’s Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore) not only bakes, but she also sings and is performing in NYC. Exciting Update! Stacy London co-host of WHAT NOT TO WEAR and CEO of State of Menopause will be a speaker at our upcoming Renewal Summit on “Navigating Menopause and Beyond,” one of five awesome panels. The menopause panel will be moderated by Barbara Hannah Grufferman, a leading voice for positive aging. The panel also includes endocrinologist Hugh Melnick, MD and midlife women’s health expert, Tara Allmen, MD.
NYC’s Largest Rooftop Park Opens

Pier 57 was formerly a maritime port and bus depot, that has now been transformed into a mixed-use development with office space for Google and a new food hall curated by the James Beard Foundation.

NYC is Blooming
Our roving photographer, Nicole Freezer Rubens says, there is no such thing as overkill when the cherry blossoms bloom in New York City. The wide range of trees greet us every April adding a pop of color and texture to our greenery. The varieties include Okame, Yoshino and Kwanzan.
The best place to see a high concentration of cherry blossoms is in Central Park, primarily between 72nd and 96th streets. They can be found around the reservoir, the Great Lawn and Cedar Hill. The life of the blooming blossoms is short lived so hurry up before the petals fall off, sail gracefully to the ground and carpet our pathways in glorious shades of pink, reminding us that summer is near. Adopt a Cat
From Time Out NY…Best Friends Lifesaving Center in SoHo is hosting local rescue group Little Wanderers for a cat adoption event this weekend, on Sunday, noon-4pm. About 20 cats and kittens will be available for adoption at 307 West Broadway! Adoption fees are $125 for kittens less than six months old and $100 for cats over six months old.
