Celebrating Broadway in the Streets!
You know summer is beginning to wind down when the new Broadway season starts to heat up.
And to herald this, the third annual Curtain Up! Broadway Festival, a three-day outdoor extravaganza that theatre lovers look forward to and cherish, will take place in Times Square.
Beginning on Friday Sept. 8 and through the weekend, the festival will include interactive events and performances that are live, free and open to all.
Then on Sunday, Sept. 10, the fabulous Curtain Up! Live from Broadway finale concert will be presented, chock full of fabulous and dynamic Broadway talent, featuring performances from numerous musicals and plays. If you can’t make it to the exciting event, you can watch it live on WABC-TV.
And…you might just catch your Three Tomatoes ‘Broadway and Bagels‘ columnist announcing the show and the musical acts. Yes, I am thrilled to return as “Voice of God” (or live announcer) for this always fun concert! Having experienced this live concert for so many years, I have to say it is pretty spectacular and a very special New York City event.
