On October 11, we will present our 9th Tomatoes Got Talent show, but this year’s has a twist! Randie Levine Miller, Cheryl Benton, and Roni Jenkins have selected 12 incredible performers from our past eight years of shows, who did NOT win the show, but were all winners in our book. Four of them will be selected to perform in our 10th year show in 2024 along with our 8 past winners to select The Three Tomatoes “Super Star.” Join us for this year’s show which will be incredible!!!

MEET THE 12 FINALISTS

 

Merrill Stone is a gerontologist and grief counselor (2014 finalist)

Dr. Alice Levine is an endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism specialist (2014 finalist)

Lee Ann Brill is assistant director of purchasing for Stony Brook Dental School (2018 finalist)

 

Cathy Szabo ran a seafood catering business and sometimes even wears a lobster costume.  She loves to sing…it feeds her soul. (2017 finalist)

Mary Roesler is a legal secretary by day. After taking a couple of cabaret classes and got hooked. (2017 finalist)

Alicia Moss is a former dog daycare owner and jewelry designer. (2018 finalist)

Maggie Determann is the membership director for a non-profit. (2018 finalist)

Roe Piccoli is a psychotherapist in private practice. (2018 finalist)

Evangeline Johns is an 86-year-old blues singer. Before she retired from her day job, she was a market researcher for CBS. (2019 finalist)

Camille Diamond is director of a community center that serves children and families. And she loves to sing. (2019 finalist)

Kelli Maguire works at a Manhattan youth center. She grew up in a carnival and loves to sing. (2019 finalist)

Mary Calamia is a psychotherapist in private practice. (2022 finalist)

Special Guests

 

We are thrilled to welcome Edna Kaufmann back to the Tomatoes Got Talent Show stage. Edna was a finalist in our very show in 2014. A lifelong singer and performer (she sang the Star Bangle Banner at an MLB game) who turned 90 years old this year, she is a whirlwind of activity. She is very active in the New York Senior Ms. American organization, and helps produce their shows and performs all over Long Island with them. In her spare time, she and daughter make beautiful handcrafted items which that sell at craft fairs on Esty.

Susan Mack was a finalist in our 2016. Tomatoes Got Talent show. After a career in finance, she hit the ground running with her lifelong passion, music.  With “a voice as full-bodied as honey with impeccable pitch and delicious taste in music” (Broadway World), Susan made her mark immediately and was nominated for Best Female Vocalist for the 2022 Annual MAC Awards.  She has performed in venues including Birdland Jazz club and Carnegie Hall .

Penny Fuller, Pat Addiss, Rose Caiola

Emmy award winner and Tony nominated actress Penny Fuller has received two Tony Award nominations for her performances on Broadway stage: for Applause, and The Dinner Party. For her television performances, Fuller received six Emmy Award nominations, winning once, in 1982 for playing Madge Kendal in The Elephant Man.

Tony Award winning producer Pat Addiss has produced more than 20 plays on and off Broadway. Many of these have won or were nominated for a Tony, notably: A Christmas Story; Promises, Promises; Passing Strange; Little Women; Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life; Bridge and Tunnel; Spring Awakening; 39 Steps; Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike; and Eclipsed.

Rose Caiola is an eight-time Tony Award® winning producer. Award-winning productions include Company, The Inheritance, Once on this Island, Dear Evan Hansen,  All The Way , Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. She is also a co-bookwriter and lead producer of Rock and Roll Man — The Alan Freed Story
