NYC Life: Ice Skating Time; Pumpkin Art; Foliage Cruise
We know the trees haven’t even peaked and it’s not even Halloween yet, but the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center opened this week, and the other rinks are not far behind. Okay back to Fall and Halloween. The trees will be peaking along the Hudson River and a day cruise is the perfect way to view the glorious foliage. If you have never been to Westbury Gardens on Long Island to see the RISE of the Jack O’Lanterns featuring hundreds of incredibly carved pumpkins, rush do not wait to get tickets because this sells out fast.
Outdoor Ice Skating is Back!
Yes, tomatoes the rink at Rockefeller Center officially opened on Tuesday, making it the first rink in the city to ice up. Can the tree be far behind? Bryant Park and the Trump rink open the end of the month. But we have to say, our favorite rink is Bryant Park, especially sitting outside at Celsius, the winter pop up restaurant, under the heating lamps with a glass of wine in hand, watching the skaters twirl by. Here’s a rundown of the costs:
The Rink at Rock – Open now. General (non holiday) admission is $25/ Skate rental $12.
Bryant Park – Opens Oct. 30. admission free, skate rental $15.
Trump Rink – Opens Oct. 24. General admission is $11.25. Skate rentals $8.00
