Style Story: White Jeans and a Black Chaser (look 1)
Do you wear white and off-white together? For some reason I feel like the off-white sweaters Zara, makes it, ok, to wear white jeans, Rag and Bone, pre Memorial Day. I grew up with a Mother from NY and a Father from Canada so white jeans before Memorial Day was a real thing in my house. The two colours together feel very east coast. I went with a shorter length black Academy jacket, Gap, that aligns with the bottom of my sweater and the top of my jeans to make my body look more in proportion. For the same reasons, I chose a bag with handles, Carla Mancini, rather than a crossbody strap to keep everything balanced. My long black/white bandana print scarf, Amazon, ties everything together and with my chucks, Converse, it’s pure Americana.
style-tip: it’s important to use the right length of garments to achieve the look your wanting to convey like a shorter jacket reads more casual with sneakers than would a longer jacket

My blue and white stripe shirt, Chaps, and skinny white jeans, Rag and Bone, are styled with pops of black from my accessories. My black sandals, Birkenstock, black belt, vintage Gucci, and crossbody bag, Longchamp, appear somewhat heavier in weight so I’ve placed them around the heaviest garment, my jeans for a nice balance and distribution of weight. I’ve twisted and tied a blue/white bandana scarf, Amazon, around my neck with a combo of chunky and freshwater pearls and a gold link chain, Gorjana, that ties my little hoop earrings and belt buckle together. This easy casual look feels super tight and elevated because I took a few seconds to style it. Zhuzhing my shirt sleeves doing a front tuck and layering my accessories build dimension to make even the most casual look a lot more interesting and complete
style-tip: we feel more confident and are actually more productive when we look good so let’s not throw anything on rather put ourselves together. Look good. Feel good.
