Why The Color Your Wear Matters

Have you ever been asked if you’re okay or tired, but you feel perfectly fine?

It’s not a great feeling when people see you as looking ill or exhausted when you’re not.
The reason you may appear unwell could very well be because of the color you’re wearing closest to your face.
This can be in your clothing, jewelry, and scarves whichever you have near your face.

Wearing a color that is wrong for YOU, can cause:
❌ Your under-eye circles to look darker.
❌ Your facial lines seem deeper.
❌ Your skin tone looks yellow, green, ashy, or red.
❌ Your eyes appear dull.
❌ Your hair seems drab and lifeless.
❌ People think you’re not feeling well.
❌ Your nose looks bigger.
❌ Horrors, worst of all, make you look older.

When you wear the colors that are right for YOU to wear, your:
✅ Under-eye circles look less pronounced and seem to disappear.
✅ Facial lines are diminished.
✅ Skin tone has a healthy and radiant glow.
✅ Eyes are bigger, sparkling, and clear-looking.
✅ Your hair looks shinier and healthier.
✅ Your face will look rested, instead of tired or stressed.
✅ Entire appearance will look younger.

So how is that possible and what should you do, you ask?

Be aware that colors close to the face, change the way our skin and eyes appear. For example, if I were to wear olive, my skin would look a bit green, my eyes yellow, my hair dull, and my health would be under considerable scrutiny by those around me. There are many resources available online and in books, to give you the guidelines you need, to choose the colors that will flatter you, however, you can start right now, by simply being observant. Put on a top you rarely wear, and look at your eyes and skin tone.

Are your eyes sparkling? Are you looking refreshed or dull and exhausted?

You should start paying attention to your initial reaction, and NEVER, and I mean never wear a color because it is in style or your shopping companion or salesperson loves it.

Please promise me that you’ll only wear what works for you and you alone. 🙏🏻

There is great news if you do decide to wear an unflattering color.

After a day or two of looking unwell, you can call in sick and no one will question your being under the weather.
Just don’t tell anyone I told you how to get the day off.

Note: Part of working with me, is learning your best and worst colors to wear.
