Sara Blakely and Bobbi Brown Are Making Waves Again!
You might think that Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, which revolutionized shapewear and is now worth $1. 2 billion dollars, and Bobbi Brown whose name is ubiquitous with makeup, and built a billion-dollar cosmetic brand with her name, could now just relax and do whatever they want. But being entrepreneurs, both were itching to create something new. Enter Sneex, just launched by Sara Blakely, and Jones Road, a non-makeup makeup line from Bobbi Brown that is especially popular with women over 50.
Will these be the high heels you love to hate?
We have to say that Sara Blakely’s new company Sneex, a shoe brand of high-heeled sneakers has us intrigued. It’s a shoe line she is passionate about which is designed to address common pain points associated with high heels. Sneex are hand-crafted “hy-heel” shoes made in Spain. They combine elements of sneakers and heels. Most designs feature a rubber-like sole visible on the sides and a single or double strap (where laces usually go). They can even be worn with socks!
Sneex eliminate three common high-heel pain points: a narrow toe box, uneven weight distribution on the ball of the foot, and a gap between the heel and the shoe.
Initial reactions online range from “OGM, finally a high heel you can wear all day,” to “These are the ugliest shoes I have seen.” To that we might say, think Crocs and Uggs too.
While many of us would like to give them a try, the price point, $395 to $595, might be a sticking point.
We’d love to hear your thoughts in our comments below.
Embracing the No-Makeup Makeup Look
“The Jones Road Miracle Balm and What the Foundation are my two favorite cosmetic products.
I love that my skin feels moisturized all day long and I love how my skin looks and feels when I’m wearing them.”
~ Cheryl Benton, Founder, Publisher, The Three Tomatoes.
Bobbi Brown launched her new cosmetic line, Jones Road in 2020. But if you’re like us, you may have only recently discovered the brand through social media advertising. Jones Road was founded on the philosophy that the world doesn’t need more beauty products. It needs better beauty products. Clean, strategic, high-grade formulations that work on every skin type and tone—and that are as simple to use as they are to master.
Bobbi Brown says, “Jones Road was born from a search for something that didn’t yet exist. Because it didn’t exist, I had to create it. What I wanted was the makeup equivalent of a Swiss Army Knife: easy, cool, multi-purpose products that could be used to nail any look, whether it be no-makeup makeup or something with more drama.”
The two big sellers are “Miracle Balm,” which can be used as a highlighter (blush) or as an all-over glow, and the “What the Foundation” a light dewy foundation that provides beautiful coverage with a no-makeup look. The ingredients include a rich oil that originates from the seeds of the evergreen desert shrub, Jojoba oil and Vitamin E, all of which hydrate and moisturize the skin.
Jones Road is available online.

Jones Road Miracle Balm and WTF are my all time favorites from Bobbi, constant compliments!
I see all the hard work and effort she put in on behalf of women and our desire to simultaneously look good and be comfortable. I would easily put down this money and give something else up for these shoes/ sneakers. Watch this video and see if this doesn’t convince you. Women have to stand together; We work much harder to get what we want. But at the end of the day, we absolutely want to have our cake and eat it, too. So here’s to cake… Oh, and a glass of champagne to go with it .https://sneex.com/pages/about
