Roving In Paris
Nicole Freezer Rubens writes:
There are many nicknames for the spectacular city of Paris. City of Light, City of Love, Capital of Fashion and The Lady of Iron are obvious ones, not even touching upon its wine, cheese, croissants and coffee, some of my favorite simple indulgences!
Paris is a seamless blend of the old and the new, especially evident in its stunning architecture and design. One of my favorite examples of this is the Frank Gehry Louis Vuitton Foundation Museum shaped like a glass sailboat that has become a French landmark as much as the newly restored Notre-Dame Cathedral. The Louvre from 1793 serves as a divine backdrop for the 1989 addition of I.M. Pei’s modern glass pyramid.
On a smaller scale, this holds true with the intriguing placement of contemporary sculptures such as Jeff Koons outside the Petit Palais and Daniel Buren outside the Grand Palais. This combination is proof that Paris is a blank canvas and always a work in progress.
Since Paris recently hosted the Sumner Olympics, every gold detail shines blindingly bright. Over time the glow will fade and the urban grit of the complex vibrant city will absorb it, filling it with new character, forever defining trés chic!

The tomato behind The Three Tomatoes.
Cheryl Benton, aka the “head tomato” is founder and publisher of The Three Tomatoes, a digital lifestyle magazine for “women who aren’t kids”. Having lived and worked for many years in New York City, the land of size zero twenty-somethings, she was truly starting to feel like an invisible woman. She created The Three Tomatoes just for the fun of it as the antidote for invisibility and sent it to 60 friends. Today she has thousands of friends and is chief cheerleader for smart, savvy women who want to live their lives fully at every age and every stage. She is the author of the novel, "Can You See Us Now?" and co-author of a humorous books of quips, "Martini Wisdom." Because she's lived a long time, her full bio won't fit here.
