Best Burgers in NYC

NYC Life: Orchids, Best Burgers, Seals, Chinese Culture & Black History Month

We (well the head tomato anyway) love burgers, although we don’t eat them often, but when we do, we want a big juicy flavorful burger, with fun topping choices. And really, if you’re splurging on a burger you need great fries too, right? Well here are the two best places in NYC for burgers, and an added bonus is they’re in the theater district.  You’ll find them at the 3T Hot List (which no longer requires registration.) Check out the HOT LIST.

Feb. 27-April 17. Orchids, Music, and Cocktails

The orchid exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens is always fantastic and it opens on Feb. 27.  And we love their special evening events where you can experience the incredible beauty of Orchidelirium and its thousands of spectacular flowers, while you enjoy a complimentary specialty cocktail, like the Ginger Vanilla Fusion, and live music. The Orchid Show takes you on a journey through orchid collecting history, including far-flung adventures where collectors literally risked their lives for these captivating flowers.  Get discounted tickets via Goldstar.

Shen Yun: 5,000 Years of Chinese Culture

Last month we had a chance to see Shen Yun at Lincoln Center and were blown away.  This visually stunning show of classical Chinese dance and music is breathtaking.  Shen Yun was started in 2006 by a non-profit organization that wanted to keep the Chinese culture as it once was: a study in grace, wisdom, and the virtues distilled from the five millennia of Chinese civilization alive, especially since it is banned in China. Now Shen Yun is performed around the world (with the exception of China) to captivated audiences.  It sells out quickly.  Get tickets.
