Healthy and Delicious Smoothies  

It’s time to come out of winter hibernation, which means those winter clothes that hide a lot of “sins” will have to go. Time to ditch the comfort foods for healthy smoothies. Here are some delicious and nutrious smoothie recipes.

Tastes like a healthy Cinnabon.

Put into blender cup:

  • 2 cups of frozen banana
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut butter or coconut oil (coconut oil tends to get stuck into small pieces when blended, go with coconut butter if possible)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon *tip: purchase cinnamon in capsule for higher potency and break open the capsule to put in your smoothie
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sweetener (your choice of one of the following): xylitol (from hardwood), stevia, raw honey, or maple
  • Optional: add your choice of protein powder (one scoop)

Blend well

Tastes like creamy pumpkin

Put into blender cup:

  • 2 cups of frozen pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut butter or coconut oil
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sweetener (your choice of one of the following): xylitol (from hardwood), stevia, raw honey, or maple
  • Optional: add your choice of protein powder (one scoop)

Blend well

Takes like cranberry Fruity Pebbles

Put into blender cup:

  • 1 cup of frozen strawberry
  • 1/2 cup of frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup of frozen raspberry
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut butter or coconut oil
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sweetener (your choice of one of the following): xylitol (from hardwood), stevia, raw honey, or maple
  • Optional: add your choice of protein powder (one scoop)

Put into blender cup:

  • 1 cups of frozen banana
  • 1 cup of sliced apple
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 table spoon of sweetener (your choice of one of the following): xylitol (from hardwood), stevia, raw honey, or maple
  • Optional: add your choice of protein powder (one scoop)
