April 28. The Artistry of Afternoon Tea
Head to the NY Cake Academy and meet our friend and 3T contributor Ellen Easton, one of the tea industry’s leading experts for a session on the artistry of afternoon tea. From the kitchen to the table, from the preparation to presentation, tea time delicacies served English, French, Russian and buffet styles for one to one thousand, will allow you the luxury to entertain with effortless ease. You will be decorating tea style mini cakes, hand painting cookies and creating decorative tea sandwiches. A gift of tea to take home is included.

The New York City Leadership Council of Plan International USA (which is chaired by the Head Tomato) invites you to join a vintage evening at Sophia’s, the iconic Greenwich, CT boutique for 40 years that counts many celebrities among their clientele. The shop is filled with 2 floors of vintage clothing, costume jewelry, wigs and accessories, gifts and collectables. 10% of sales will be donated to Plan international’s programs to stop the trafficking of thousands of girls in Nepal and Bangladesh. May 20. 3Ts Private Tour of the Historic Players Club
Join us for a private tour of The Players Club, is a private social club founded in New York City by the noted 19th-century Shakespearean actor Edwin Booth. In 1888, Booth purchased an 1847 mansion at 16 Gramercy Park, reserved an upper floor for his residence, and turned the rest into a clubhouse. The building’s interior and part of its exterior were designed by architect Stanford White; its entryway gaslights are among the few remaining examples in New York City. It is reportedly the oldest club in its original clubhouse. The tour is one hour. Cost is $20 3T Insider Club Members and $30 for non-club members.
