1 Day Workshop: "Art of the Interview"

Summer is a great time to slow down (a little), take stock in what is going on in your life, and consider what steps you need to take to move forward.

So, I ask this question. If someone were to stick a microphone in front of you and ask you about your business, area of expertise, organization, book, career or art, would you be able to answer the question in an effective and engaging manner?

Think about it for a moment. It’s difficult to get that important message across, I know.

But I can provide assistance. I offer a really fun and helpful workshop titled, “The Art of the Interview” only once a year, and each time I teach it, the participants leave clearer about their message and mission.

I am always astounded by the interesting people I meet in the workshop, from all different careers and industries: artists, authors, psychologists, publicists, business people, and some who just want to host their own web series, podcast or radio show.

How to interview, and how to be interviewed; those are distinctly different skills and I cover both sides of the microphone and camera.

Having interviewed literally thousands of people, from superstar celebrities to emerging entrepreneurs, I am fascinated by people’s stories.

I can provide actionable tips to improve your focus and help you to tell your story.

July 30 is the date for “The Art of the Interview”, and the workshop runs from 10 am to 4 pm. We are in a studio at the School of Visual Arts, and I create a mini tv set where the interviews are shot. Everyone gets their video from the class.
