This Year’s Itinerary

Pelligrini

Bob and Joyce Pellegrini were one of the original pioneers in the Long Island wine community. After partnering in a small vineyard in the 80’s, they quickly realized the potential of the North Fork region. In 1991, the Pellegrini’s purchased their own vineyard and built a 14,000 square foot winery complex that was one of the very first wineries that integrated the entire winemaking process. The tasting area has spectacular panoramic views of the winery’s centerpiece, its courtyard which features a classic Italian cloister design. We’ll enjoy our picnic lunch there.

Harbes Family Farm and Vineyard

We will enjoy their award-winning wines in their beautiful Wine Barn which was renovated from a rustic 100-year-old potato barn. And the added bonus is the farm stand is open for fresh vegetables, homemade pies, and flowers too! The Harbes have been farming on Long Island for over 13 generations and this is their 30th year.

Jason’s Vineyards

Located on a beautiful 20-acre site in Jamesport, they produce some of the finest wines the region has to offer.  Jason’s Vineyard was planted in 1996 using only the finest clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Jason’s Vineyard also purchases the grape varietals of Sauvignon Blanc, Seyvel Blanc, Cayuga and Riesling for some of the wines they produce. Oh, and you can visit their alpacas too!

9:00 am – NYC Pickup.  40^th and Lexington Ave. (west side of Lex)

9:45 am – Hicksville Pickup. 195 North Broadway, Hicksville (front parking lot where Sears used to be.)

Return to Hicksville about 5:15 PM. NYC passengers will be dropped off at Hicksville Train Station (trains leave @every 15 minutes and it is a direct train to Penn Station (about 42 minutes.) Train ticket included with your ticket fee. Please note this is the quickest way to get back to NYC on a Sunday night.
