She has worked in the entertainment business for over thirty years, including starring with Howie Mandel on all three versions of the iconic show, Deal Or No Deal. She is now sharing her hard-earned wisdom, as she takes you by the hand in her book, Dream On Now Deliver, a guide to breaking into show business and thriving.  And you’ll get to play Deal or No Deal too. Roving at San Gennaro

Our roving photographer, Nicole Freezer Rubens writes:

Catch a cannoli at “The Feast of all Feasts”! The 98th annual Feast of San Gennaro is currently sprawling across the quaint streets of New York’s Little Italy. It honors the memory of the patron saint of Naples, Saint Januarius with a 10-day-long celebration grand marshaled this year by Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity chef.

The heart of the festival is on Mulberry Street where the cobblestone comes alive with members of many communities to honor Italian American culture, food, and music. The local restaurants spill out onto the sidewalks, surrounded by sausage sellers, Oreo fryers, singers, craft vendors, kiddie rides, and ring tosses, hopefully for large prizes.

Personally, I love the celebratory vibe of the greater community coming together to partake and enjoy in one another’s traditions and spirit.

This melting pot of old New York City will be on low heat through Sunday, September 22nd. Be sure to save room for a scoop of gelato!
