NEW YORK, NEW YORK begins previews on Broadway Friday, March 24th, 2023, at Broadway’s St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street), and opens Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Music and lyrics by John Kander & Fred Ebb, book written by David Thompson, co-written by Sharon Washington, with additional lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. NEW YORK, NEW YORK is directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman.

Full Broadway cast of BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical have been announced. Previously announced Tony Award winner Roger Bart (Doc Brown), Casey Likes (Marty McFly), and Olivier Award nominee Hugh Coles (George McFly) will be joined by Liana Hunt as Lorraine Baines, Jelani Remy as Goldie Wilson/Marvin Berry, and Nathaniel Hackmann as Biff Tannen. The ensemble includes Merritt David Janes (Strickland), Mikaela Secada (Jennifer Parker), Amber Ardolino, Will Branner, Victoria Byrd, Brendon Chan, Kevin Curtis, Nick Drake, Samuel Gerber, Marc Heitzman, Kimberly Immanuel, Joshua Kenneth Allen Johnson, Hannah Kevitt, JJ Niemann, Becca Petersen, Emma Pittman, Jonalyn Saxer, Blakely Slaybaugh, Gabi Stapula, and Daryl Tofa. John Rando directs. The book is by Bob Gale, new music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard with additional songs from the film. SMASH is setting its sights on Broadway with an award-winning creative team. The stage musical adaptation, inspired by the fan-favorite NBC series is slated for Broadway in the 2024-25 season. The production will be helmed by 5-time Tony-winning director Susan Stroman, with a score by the Tony- and Grammy-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who wrote over two dozen songs for the television show, many of which will be used in the musical and new material. The book will be co-written by two of Broadway’s most seasoned craftsmen, Tony-winner Bob Martin ) and Rick Elice And Smash’s Emmy-winning choreographer, Joshua Bergasse, will reprise his role for the stage adaptation. www.SmashBroadway.com
