Colorful Fun in Midtown
Another interactive art exhibit has opened in Manhattan-this time in the heart of midtown.
For a wild and fun immersive artistic experience, take a trip to 5th and 44th Street for Wonderland Dreams by Alexa Meade. It is an Alice in Wonderland journey through painted rooms, minuscule doorways, tea party set-ups, and 3-d glasses with which to view colorful cascades of paper swirls.
Adding to the fantastical space, one has the ability to paint and leave behind a paper rose, touch and feel all that is exhibited and attend a more formal painting class.
You can participate in special events for both kids (The Mad Hatter’s Tea Time) and those over 21 (Wonderland After Dark). On the entrance floor you can lounge at a bar and snack area. Be sure to peek into Wonderland Dreams beautiful event space, of course, designed in the whimsical Alexa Meade style.
Alexa Meade is an installation artist who paints on the human body and three-dimensional spaces, creating an illusion that our reality exists as a two-dimensional painting. She has lectured at prestigious colleges, is a TED talk speaker, has been invited to the White House by President Obama and was named a “badass woman” by InStyle Magazine.
For a visit to a vibrant fantasyland, which is tailor made for endless photos and of course, selfies, Wonderland Dreams is a delicious respite from the cement jungle we reside in. https://www.wonderlanddreams.com
