Conversations with Peter Greenberg and Chazz Palminteri
In this era of Covid, where vacations seem like a distant dream, it’s truly important to get the real scoop on the state of travel today. Emmy-award winning investigative reporter Peter Greenberg (seen on CBS-TV and CBS radio) is the expert I turn to to get all the latest information. Peter is my guest on “Bagels and Broadway” this Saturday morning on radio and podcast. You can hear some really great information and advice from a dynamic and knowledgeable broadcaster.
Actor, director, writer Chazz Palminteri, known for “A Bronx Tale” is also a restaurateur. He owns Chazz Palmenteri’s Italian Restaurant on West 46th Street. His eatery, like so others, is struggling and trying to make it work under enormous constraints. Chazz, a Bronx native like me, is also a guest on this week’s show.
I have joined a coalition of New Yorkers who are very concerned about our beautiful city. Because restaurants are the lifeblood of New York, not only employing hundreds of thousands of workers, but also intertwined with so many other industries, we have launched a campaign urging those who can to order consistently from restaurants. One restaurateur shared with me that for him, the difference between surviving and going under is just an additional five orders a day.
New Yorkers band together in difficult and challenging times. Now is one of them.
Return the favor and help restaurants, who so valiantly stepped up to feed hospital, essential and frontline workers, the homeless and the hungry, during the height of the pandemic.
