Great talent. Watch virtually.
The ‘good thing’ about the pandemic, if there is a good thing, is that it accelerated the way we do business and experience entertainment in a most dynamic way.
Starting this Monday, you can enjoy performances by powerhouses Jason Alexander, Patti LuPone, Santino Fontana, and Michael McKean in an encore presentation of a play produced by Barrington Stage Company that was performed last summer.
Judgment Day, written by Rob Ulin and directed by Matthew Penn, is comedy that ponders whether people “are any damn good.” When a morally bankrupt lawyer has a near-death experience, he is forced to take a look at his life and seek assistance from a priest who is undergoing his own crisis of faith.
The founder/artistic director of Barrington Stage Company, Julianne Boyd says “Judgment Day is the perfect panacea for today’s world – a smart, funny play with a brilliant cast; the play gives us an opportunity to laugh out loud – something we’ve had little opportunity to do recently.”
The streaming of this piece runs from July 26 through August 1 exclusively on Stellar Events as a benefit for Barrington Stage Company. Tickets are available at https://www.stellartickets.com/o/barrington-stage/events/judgment-day.
