September. LA Animal Services Tips

Sept 22 – 26. ReSound

Leela Dance Collective presents “ReSound,” a 5-day celebration of kathak dance, features street performances and workshops to educate and inspire audiences of all ages. The Los Angeles Dance Chronicle has called the performance “…an evening of rhythmic magic”, Tomatoes.

The public is invited to experience North Indian classical dance as it resounds through the streets of Los Angeles.  In LA, free street performances will take place at such iconic locations as Santa Monica’s 3rdSt Promenade, DTLA’s Grand Park, Pasadena’s Memorial Park, Culver City’s Town Plaza, Woodland Hills’ The Village at Topanga, and the Oak Canyon Community Park. Kathak dance can ground the body, focus the mind, and uplift the spirit. “Resound” showcases original compositions and choreography, while featuring a new generation of emerging kathak dancers trained in his iconic style of dance.  Leela Dance Collective is  critically acclaimed so this is your opportunity, Tomatoes, to enjoy the exhilarating performances,.


Sept 19 – October 10. Americana at the Park

Head to Gandara Park in Santa Monica for “Americana in the Park.” A free and reimagined concert series exploring Americana music with a diverse group of So Cal artists and Americana styles. Vibrant music and Food Trucks makes for a very enjoyable evening, Tomatoes.

The City of Santa Monica and McCabe’s Guitar Shop are partnering to present “Americana in the Park” which is funded by the Art of Recovery initiative. It is a pilot project to create a new partnership model for outdoor events, where local organizations are provided funding and support from the City to bring unique and diverse events to the Santa Monica community. The high energy “Masanga Marimba Ensemble” takes the stage to open the series this Sunday, Tomatoes.
