Hope all you tomatoes had a very Happy Thanksgiving and for all those vegetarian tomatoes I hope the turkey loaf was delish! Well it’s that time of year when there is such a plethora of wonderful things to do it boggles my mind, but here goes ladies. The Heritage Square’s Holiday Lamplighting” is out of this world. Instead of Black Friday chaotic hustle and bustle make it a “Green Friday” at Descanso Gardens. If you like to give books, “Indies First” at Book Soup is having a great event. And experience “Enchanted: Forest of Light” a new holiday event at Descanso Gardens. OOOh La La! Enjoy it all tomatoes!
Nov. 25. Green Friday
“Green Friday” is the new “Black Friday” in California tomatoes. “Save the Redwoods League”, “California State Parks Foundation” and “California State Parks” invite everyone to explore 116 of our beautiful California state parks for FREE. Yep Free! Hey the “After Thanksgiving” sales will still be there Saturday gals. Why not expand the time of giving thanks and sharing time with friends and family in a glorious park? Sounds like a plan tomatoes!

Hear ye! Hear ye! Descanso Gardens is doing it again, tomatoes, with another breathtaking and totally unique event. Today, Descanso debuts their new holiday season interactive nighttime event, “Enchanted: Forest of Light”. Enjoy a colorful one-mile path through 160 acres within Descanso Gardens with 10 lighting experiences including the Oak Grove and the Japanese Garden. It’s time to twinkle with rainbow colors tomatoes.

Nov. 26. Indies First
This Saturday is Small Business Saturday and so it is a great time to celebrate the independent book stores in your neighborhood with “Indies First”, a national campaign of activities and events in support of independent bookstores. Book Soup has a really cool day planned tomatoes with very special guest booksellers one of which will be none other than Lena Dunham gals. Wow!
On a day dedicated to supporting the local businesses that help create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods, independent bookstores will host authors as honorary booksellers to celebrate Indies First, to help hand sell their favorite titles and sign books. Lena Dunham is not only the tour de force creator and star of the HBO series “Girls” but the bestselling author of “Not That Kind of Girl”, a frequent contributor to The New Yorker and started her own new publishing company “Lenny”. Don’t you just love it tomatoes when a feminist cherry tomato wears many hats and is so good doing it?! Yahoo Lena!
Dec. 3-4. Holiday Lamp Lighting At Heritage Square
You gals know how much I love Heritage Square. Well, here’s your chance to experience a spectacular trip back in time at the “Annual Heritage Square’s Holiday Lamplighting” celebration with the sparkling glow of historic Victorian homes and lots of holiday cheer. The festivities include singing, dancing and re-enactments of holiday rituals past. Woo hoo! But hop to it ladies because this event sells out fast!
There is no online ticketing for this event so you do have to call in to make your ticket purchase. Advance reservations are required for this event. Reservations can be made by calling our box office at (323)225-2700 ext. 223 Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Heritage Square Museum is truly one of LA’s hidden gems. What the donors and volunteers are doing there to preserve a living history of the settlement, lifestyles and the development of Southern California through the lens of these homes is amazing. This year, more than 30 docents will help re-create the holiday celebrations experienced in the museum’s historic Victorian homes with a glimpse of history of LA’s Bunker Hill region and how it has changed over the years.

She is best known for her recurring role as Donna on the CBS series "Murder She Wrote" starring Angela Lansbury. As head of In The Trenches Productions, Debbie produced, directed, acted in many short films for her company.
