March 1 to 3. Digital Nature
It’s a technology and natural world collaboration at the Los Angeles Arboretum Tomatoes! “Digital Nature 2019” is a contemporary art exhibit inspired by the natural world and technology, with 18 artists projecting their beautiful work onto the lush garden landscape outdoors. Wow!
Tomatoes can experience amazing video and sound installations, some interactive or live and some silent, but all art installations explore themes like butterfly camouflage, bird songs, heavy metal, and inter-active digital wildflowers to name a few. Digital Nature 2019 is curated by Shirley Alexandra Watts. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
March 2. Food Truck Extravaganza
There’s a brand spankin’ new and super cool “Malibu Wines” in town Tomatoes. I’ve heard great things about the “Malibu Wines and Beer Garden” in West Hills located in Historic Cultural Monument. Their “Food Truck Extravaganza” is a perfect time to try this new destination for local wines Tomatoes. Yum!
It will be wonderful day of delish eats from food trucks, Malibu local wine, and craft beer. And there’ll be live music. The San Fernando Valley is not really known as being much of a wine destination. But the new “Malibu Wines and Beer Garden”, owned & operated by the Semler family, also owners of Saddlerock Ranch and longtime winemakers in the greater Malibu area, will change that perception. The West Hills location is fast becoming a favorite wine tasting destination with its lush and large indoor/outdoor space at the historic and gorgeous Spanish-influenced estate owned by 1930s-era actor Francis Lederer. Now that sounds like a great place to imbibe Tomatoes!
