And let’s not forget the guys. The Rolling Stones have an incredible new album and are out touring again. And the Beatles’ new song tops the charts at #7. So move over Taylor, the boomers are still rockin’ it!

Cher’s first Christmas Album is #1 on the Top Holiday Albums

 

Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums chart returns for the 2023 holiday season, with Cher’s “Christmas” album debuting atop the tally (dated Nov. 4). It’s the pop superstar’s first holiday collection. The 13-song set has a blend of classic tunes and newly written tracks, and boasts a starry lineup of guests in Michael Bublé, Cyndi Lauper, Darlene Love, Tyga and Stevie Wonder.” ~Excerpt from Billboard. Dolly Parton’s First Rock Album Hits The Top of the Charts

After being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which she tried to turn down because she is not a rocker, Dolly decided to make her first rock album. According to Billboard, “Dolly Parton’s 30-song set Rockstar, released Nov. 17, blasts in atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts (dated Dec. 2). The Beatles New Song Tops the Charts at #7

 “Now and Then” is billed as the final Beatles song, first recorded as a demo in 1977 by John Lennon and initially intended for the band’s three-edition Anthology series in the mid-‘90s before being shelved. The song was completed at last by surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, among others, after new technology helped extract Lennon’s vocals from the original demo, while George Harrison guitar parts from the initial attempt to finish the track were also incorporated into the song.” Excerpt from Billboard. The Rolling Stones “Hackney Diamonds” Makes #3 on the Billboard Chart

“The Rolling Stones have become the first act to reach the top 10 in the United States with new albums in every decade since the 1960s.The veteran band’s latest studio album, Hackney Diamonds, has entered the Billboard chart at number three. They also extended their record as the act with the most US top 10 albums of all time, with 38 in total – ahead of second-placed Barbra Streisand on 34.
