One of our pet peeves is mascara that clumps! Well here are some expert tips for applying your mascara to avoid that misery. And we also have some mascara picks from beauty experts and consumers.

To apply mascara without clumps, consider these expert tips:

1. Scrape Excess Mascara: Before applying, gently scrape off excess mascara from the wand to prevent clumping.
2. Proper Application: Start at the base of your lashes and wiggle the wand side to side as you move towards the tips.
3. Layering Technique: Wait about 15 to 30 seconds between coats to avoid clumps and achieve a smooth finish.
4. Use a Clean Wand: Regularly clean your mascara wand to prevent old, dried mascara from causing clumps.
5. Curl Your Lashes: Curling your lashes before applying mascara can help prevent clumps and give a smoother application.
6. Eyelash Comb: After applying mascara, use an eyelash comb to separate any clumps and define your lashes.

Remember, less is often more with mascara, so apply in light, even coats for the best results.
