Not That Jewish – Funny and Poignant
I recently had the opportunity to see a very, very funny and yet poignant one woman show titled, Not That Jewish at New World Stages on West 50th Street. This easy to enjoy 90 minute comedy, directed by Mark Waldrop, was written and is performed by actress, comedian and writer Monica Piper. She hails from the Bronx, but developed her craft in Los Angeles, and has brought the show about her life, family (especially her amazing relationship with her dad) and her career to New York.
Monica is not only a great writer, but a hilarious performer, and seeing her and her show is a perfect way to enjoy a ton of much needed laughter.
Please listen to my conversation with Monica here:
And by the way, you absolutely do not have to be Jewish to enjoy the show.
