NYC LIFE: More August Fun and Fall Events
There’s 3T fun around the corner. Join us this Tuesday at our Summer Garden Party – wine, food, shopping, hat contest, door prizes and more. Still a few tickets left. While we’ll be sad to say goodbye to summer, we have two great fall events to look forward to. The 3T Annual Wine Trip and Randie Levine-Miller’s Showstopper Divas/Divos Show. Here are a few highlights of things we think you’ll enjoy this month and into the September.
Aug. 13-19. Battery Dance Festival
The Battery Dance Festival is NYC’s longest-running FREE public outdoor dance festival, featuring both local and international performers and diverse dance styles from ballet to hip-hop. More than 30 dance troupes perform at the 36th annual Battery Dance Festival in Battery Park, including NYC’s Martha Graham School (shown here), along with dance groups from countries including Belgium, India, Sri Lanka, Spain, Botswana and the Dominican Republic
August 15 – 26. Harlem Week
Harlem Week is a month-long celebration of the past, present, and future of Harlem! A series of Harlem events throughout the summer brings together all age groups and cultures to celebrate the unique and diverse essence of Harlem. This Harlem Festival & Celebration offers over 100 events, attracting over 3 million attendees from all around the world. Featuring: Outdoor and indoor music concerts, The Upper Manhattan Auto Show, Film festivals, Health Fair & 5K, Sporting events, Adult and children’s fashion shows, Youth programs and activities, Career fairs, HBCU Fair & Expo. Aug. 19. Hudson River Park’s 18th Annual Blues BBQ
