Now that we’re into Fall, it’s a great time to visit our museums.  We have a great private evening at the MET for our NYC Insider Club Members. And Miriam Silverberg reports in on some new exhibits at two of our favorite museums, the Morgan and the Frick. On the theater scene, Valerie Smaldone says “The Height of the Storm” starring Jonathan Pryce and Eileen Atkins is an emotional journey. And we’re calling on the single ladies for the Ultimate Dating Advice Event. And check out highlights of these and other wonderful fall events.

Extraordinary Women, Seduction, and Secrets

NYC LIFE: Autumn in New York, Events, Museums, Broadway and More

This 90-minute experience of the Metropolitan Museum takes us from 18th century France to late 19th century America revealing the incredible stories of the women who grace the halls of the Met and the world in which they lived. Along the way we will learn the arts of seduction, the coded messages, and the rituals of beautification that led some of them to triumphs while also discovering the acts of defiance and bravery that have given many of them more lasting fame.

The Tour will be by Nadja Hansen who grew up in Manhattan and has a MA in Art History from the University of Chicago and an MA in Museum and Gallery Education from the University College London. She currently works for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, the Morgan Library and Museum, and owns her own company, Art Explorations, that curates custom art experiences in museums and galleries.  Tickets for Club Members are $48.  Not a member?  Join us now.
