Lobster on a Boat
The North River Lobster company has a fun cruise in the Hudson River —a perfect way to get out of New York without actually leaving the city. Step on board, grab their famous Lobster Rolls with a few drinks, soak up incredible sunsets and gawk at the most beautiful skyline in the world as the boat sails the Hudson River.
Eat rolls all day including classics like our Maine Lobster Roll with old bay mayo, or the hot and buttery Connecticut Lobster Roll, to their specialty rolls like the Lower East Side Lobster Roll on an everything bagel roll or the Double Truffle Roll with truffle mayo and truffle parm fries. Or you can try our brand new Skagen Roll made with shrimp! GET THE DETAILS

Our Broadway Babe, Randie Levine-Miller, has unearthed some wonderfully entertaining musical nostalgia, including a tribute to Cole Porter, starring Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme; a concert at the White House, with Broadway award winning stars performing with Marvin Hamlisch; Ann Miller, candidly sharing stories and anecdotes about her life; and a star-studded tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, hosted by John Wayne. Roving in Quebec
Our roving photographer, Nicole Freezer Rubens reports in from our family cottage in Quebec.
What is better, morning or evening light and views of the lake? You decide. Every summer I spend a few weeks at my husband’s family cottage in Quebec. Besides being able to spend some downtime with my family, I relish in living a more simple life and spend my days on the lake studying its light, movement and reflection. I have no choice but to step back from the New York City chaos I adore, unwind and reset.
As the summer cautiously creeps towards its close, I am recharged upon my return home, and ready to face what the next season brings. I am grateful that the streaks of clouds and rippling waves talk to me, and settle in my mind, stored for the long winter ahead.

The tomato behind The Three Tomatoes.
Cheryl Benton, aka the “head tomato” is founder and publisher of The Three Tomatoes, a digital lifestyle magazine for “women who aren’t kids”. Having lived and worked for many years in New York City, the land of size zero twenty-somethings, she was truly starting to feel like an invisible woman. She created The Three Tomatoes just for the fun of it as the antidote for invisibility and sent it to 60 friends. Today she has thousands of friends and is chief cheerleader for smart, savvy women who want to live their lives fully at every age and every stage. She is the author of the novel, "Can You See Us Now?" and co-author of a humorous books of quips, "Martini Wisdom." Because she's lived a long time, her full bio won't fit here.
