NYC LIFE: Easter Bonnets, Fundraisers, Tribeca Film Festival and More
Get your bonnet out tomatoes and stroll down Fifth Avenue tomorrow. The Tribeca Film festival is just around the corner, and here are some other events to check out this month too.
April 16. Easter Parade
Get ready with your Easter Bonnet with all the thrills upon and stroll down Fifth Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets in the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival. Or just people watch. From 10 to 4PM.
April 17. Broadway stars to perform at Planned Parenthood fundraiser
Broadway belters Mia Gentile (Kinky Boots), Bret Shuford (Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour), Erica Lustig (NYMF’s Broadway’s Next Sensation), and Stephen Bienskie (Silence, The Musical) are just some of the performers appearing at a Planned Parenthood benefit conceived by restaurateur Daniele Kucera and directed by television, film and stage director/choreographer Tricia Brouk. This star studded fundraiser will also feature television and stage stars Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker. Eric Martin is musical director.
Along with the sure to be outstanding performances, admission will include tasty treats, superb wines and cocktails. The suggested donation is $100. As proprietor of Etcetera Etcetera, Kucera is donating the space, food, wine and cocktails. A full 100% of all donations will go directly to benefit Planned Parenthood.

April 19 to 30. The Tribeca Film Festival
The best film festival in NYC brings together visionaries across industries and diverse audiences to celebrate the power of storytelling. This year’s festival kicks off with with a premiere at Radio City Music Hall: a two-hour documentary about legendary music producer Clive Davis. And the festival closes with an epic six-hour screening of The Godfather and The Godfather: Part II on the at Radio City, along with a reunion of the cast and director Francis Ford Coppola, celebrating the 45h anniversary of The Godfather. Our friends at The Transition Network, are inviting tomatoes to a wonderful program next month with a panel of 3 experts who will discuss the wide variety of opportunities to volunteer, travel, and do good too. There are plenty of opportunities in the U.S. and abroad that range from days to weeks, to months. Voluntourism is a one of the hottest trends in travel.
