There is no shortage of entertaining, fun, and informative things to do this fall in NYC.  For starters, there’s The Three Tomatoes film series on Dec. 6 with a screening of the award winning documentary, Women of ’69 Unboxed, followed by a thought provoking panel discussion.  Love dance? Check out the American Dance Machine. And funny lady and standup comic Leigh Ann Lord is appearing LIVE in NYC this month. She can make a bad day good. Join us on Sunday Dec. 6 at the Triad for the NYC launch of the 3T Film series, celebrating women over 40 with films that entertain, enlighten, and build a bridge between generations.  The Boomer generation started the revolution to change things for women in the 60’s. It was the dawn of a new era for women where they had freedom to make choices in their role in society and change their own destiny which is the subject of Women of ’69 UNBOXED, our first film in the series.  The screening will be followed by a lively panel discussion that includes the filmmakers. One of our very favorite standup comics, is Leigh Ann Lord (who also blogs for the 3Ts too) is performing live at comedy club Stand Up NY on Nov. 18 and 25 at 8PM.  (Yes, a show early enough that we can be home in bed by 10PM).   We promise it will be a very funny night, and there’s nothing like comedy to cure whatever ails you.  Get the details.

What you might ask is American Dance Machine? Well if you love all those fabulous beautifully choreographed dance routines on Broadway, you will love this show which starts performances December 21st and run through Sunday, January 3rd.   American Dance Machine for the 21st Century, founded in 2012 is dedicated to creating a “Living Archive” of musical theater dance to so that we don’t lose the many great choreographic works.  This year’s show is directed by Tony Award® winner Wayne Cilento (Wicked, Sweet Charity revival, Aida, The Who’s Tommy), and the program will include theatre dances from “Broadway and Beyond” with live music and an amazing group of performers.
