When Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria ripped through the Caribbean, Puerto Rico and the Florida Keys, she left a trail of shattered buildings, boats and dreams. Ditto Hurricanes Jose & Maria. Tens of thousands of people have lost their homes and their jobs. Our friend and Tomato, Karen Nason, who is running for Mayor of Hoboken, is bringing the arts to Hoboken in a benefit for hurricane victims. She is hosting an evening of four Tennessee Williams one-act plays. 100% of the $40 ticket price (which also includes food, wine, dessert, and coffee) will go to the Hurricane Relief Fund. Oct. 20-26. The Wildlife Conservation Film Festival
Attention wildlife lovers (which would be all of us.) The 7th annual Wildlife Conservation Film Festival happens this month. There will be 10 tens of film screenings and discussions that will inform, engage and inspire you about the need for and importance of the protection of global biodiversity.
