NYC LIFE: Hudson Yards, Dining In, Cabaret, Talent Show, and More

March 3. Chocolates and Airplanes
From the first flights by biplanes on the Hempstead Plains to man’s walking on the Moon, Long Island has been on the leading edge of America’s aviation and space adventure. And tomorrow the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City is also home to the Chocolate Expo. Vendors include artisanal chocolatiers, old-fashioned candy shops, bakeries, specialty food producers, wineries, distilleries, cideries and even some farms. March 13. 3T Cooking Event with Pamela Morgan
Cookbook author and entertainment expert, Pamela Morgan, founder of Flirting with Flavors, is hosting an interactive cooking demo at her beautiful 5th avenue apartment overlooking Central Park. Get ready for a menu with an Italian flare and Sinatra on the Sonos. We’ll start with cocktails followed by a wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil. We’ll finish off the night by learning how to make a lemon and raspberry panna cotta with toasted hazelnuts. April 15. Tomatoes Got Talent Tickets Now on Sale!
Randie Levine Miller and Cheryl Benton are thrilled to be co-producing our 6th Tomatoes Got Talent show which showcases the talents of women over 40, who do not earn their living with their talents. Many started out as professionals and segued into other careers – we’ve had doctors, teachers, social workers, paralegals – who step onto the stage and become super stars. March 15. Grand Opening of Hudson Yards
Hudson Yards, the west side mega-project and the largest private development in the nation’s history has announced it’s official grand opening celebration.
The Public Square and Gardens and the neighborhood’s centerpiece, Thomas Heatherwick’s “Vessel,” are set to open and The Shops and Restaurants . And that’s just the start. Soon the largest outdoor observation deck will open and in April, The Shed, the new arts center at Hudson Yards opens too. Get more details.
