It’s Oscar weekend. If you missed this year’s best picture nominees, AMC has a 24-hour marathon today! Our Oscar viewing party is taking place in bed, but there are lots of viewing parties around the city. And what’s your pick for best picture? Take our poll at the end of the email. Next weekend Barnard hosts their annual film festival featuring fierce and fearless women. If you haven’t been to Boulud Sud (near Lincoln Center), Valerie Smaldone says their menu is exquisite. March 13. Cooking Event with Pamela Morgan
Cookbook author and entertainment expert, Pamela Morgan, founder of Flirting with Flavors, is hosting an interactive cooking demo at her beautiful 5th avenue apartment overlooking Central Park. Get ready for a menu with an Italian flare and Sinatra on the Sonos. We’ll start with cocktails followed by a wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil. We’ll finish off the night by learning how to make a lemon and raspberry panna cotta with toasted hazelnuts. NYC Artists have come together for a fabulous variety showcase fundraiser to benefit Coalition For The Homeless. There are four performances that include poetry, dance, live music and short plays. Get the details.

Head to Barnard College to The Athena Film Festival for a weekend of inspiring films that tell the extraordinary stories of fierce and fearless women leaders. You’ll see narratives, documentaries, and shorts that feature diverse stories of ambition, courage, and resilience.
