Roving in the Leaves
Nicole Freezer Rubens, our roving photographer says:
Catch it when and where you can! Fall is falling to the ground. New York City is one of the last east coast areas to turn, the best is often the last. Instead of continuing to wait, I headed slightly north to Carmel, in Putnam County New York and got to see the glorious colors of autumn in its prime.
The local lakes eagerly reflected the oranges, reds and yellows that remind us that change is in the air.

Dec. 7. A Powerful Film Screening at Village East Cinema By Angelika
My friend Catherine Gray, a dynamo and founder of She Angels Investors, is the producer of SHOW HER THE MONEY a compelling and crucial reminder that money is power and women need it to achieve true equality. Women have been shut out of the financial world, making it almost impossible to get their ideas and inventions funded. SHOW HER THE MONEY pulls back the curtain on the extreme underfunding of women in the Venture Capital world, with less than 2% of venture capital going to women. It features women entrepreneurs who bootstrap their companies into success stories, and the fierce and financially savvy women who fund them.
The film follows four visionary founders as they endure uphill battles to turn their ideas into reality. In spite of their dedication and passion constantly being challenged, these women, with the financial support and mentorship of their angel investors, become even more determined, resourceful and resilient, and the growth of their businesses is mind-blowing. Each business has the potential to become a “unicorn” … a billion dollar business. GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!
Broadway Babe: Merrily We Roll Along, Suzanne Somers and More
Our Broadway Babe, Randie Levine-Miller, has unearthed four fabulous finds, including the must watch 2013 version of “Merrily We Roll Along”, which is currently Broadway’s biggest hit; Suzanne Somers hosting the best of Hollywood Palace; as well as a fabulous concert with Audra McDonald, and a 1971 TV special with Anthony Newley, Diahann Carroll, and Liza Minnelli. Perfect online entertainment to enjoy during the cold weather! WATCH NOW.
The tomato behind The Three Tomatoes.
Cheryl Benton, aka the “head tomato” is founder and publisher of The Three Tomatoes, a digital lifestyle magazine for “women who aren’t kids”. Having lived and worked for many years in New York City, the land of size zero twenty-somethings, she was truly starting to feel like an invisible woman. She created The Three Tomatoes just for the fun of it as the antidote for invisibility and sent it to 60 friends. Today she has thousands of friends and is chief cheerleader for smart, savvy women who want to live their lives fully at every age and every stage. She is the author of the novel, "Can You See Us Now?" and co-author of a humorous books of quips, "Martini Wisdom." Because she's lived a long time, her full bio won't fit here.
