NYC Life: Shows, Discounts, Conferences, Good Causes
We love autumn in New York and there are so many great things going on right now our head is spinning. Here a few events – shows, discounts, confreences, and good causes – we’ve handpicked just for you tomatoes. Enjoy.
This is our favorite fundraising event every year. Doodle for Hunger Art Charity event is a fun evening – cocktail party and fabulous buffet dinner – that auctions off signed original works of art by artists, and celebrities in every field – like this one from Donald Trump (could become priceless). We love perusing the art. And this year’s guest or honor is Regis Philbin. Musical Guest is actor Danny Aiello. The best part is that auction raising much needed funds for the great work done by St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, which feeds, clothes, and counsels those in need. Last year they served over 1.2 million meals! Event is at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers, individual tickets are $300. Get details.
If you’re not Italian you’ll want to be Italian at this really fun show from the very talented Peter Ianniello. Enjoy the Italian-American experience through Peter’s very fun stories and beautiful songs. Head to Don’t Tell Mama for one of the last two performances of “Be Italian.” Get tickets now.
The Women’s Leadership Exchange conference is a great opportunity to connect with other women business leaders. This one day event will be filled with powerful information, inspiration and vital strategies for your business and personal life. Hear from top business professionals – like TV start Susan Lucci, former prosecutor Linda Fairstein, and Chairman Publicis NY, Linda Kaplan Thaler – who will share their secrets to success. And here’s the best part, we have a discount code – SORATE – from event sponsor Glow Beauty Magazine and you can attend for just $99 (reg, price $149). Get details.
