There are always so many special things to do in NYC when you’re in the know, like a night of musical divas on June 21st, benefiting a cause near and dear to us, Multiple Sclerosis. And there’s an exclusive reading of a play that is perfect for Tomatoes! And a rooftop event on June 27 to raise awareness about sex trafficking –  $99 BILLION dollar industry!!!  And outdoor movies are back!

Please join us and other members of the New York City Leadership Council for Because I am a Girl, for a riveting evening event. In addition to a short film, a panel of front-line experts on this critical issue will discuss why it hits home for all New Yorkers. Trafficking women and children for sexual exploitation is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world. 2 million children are exploited every year. You’ll get the shocking facts and how you help.

Wednesday, June 27 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Skytop at Plaza: 400 E. 56th Street (between First Avenue and Sutton Place)

Tickets are just $25 (wine and snacks included).

June 26-27. Toujours L’Amour (Mit Eybike Libe)

NYC LIFE:  Special Invites, Outdoor Movies

Stephanie Sloane’s play speaks to every Tomato who has ever had “what ifs” about an old love.  We saw an early reading and now you can see it too.  A  middle-class Jewish girl from The Bronx meets a wealthy Jewish boy from Manhattan. They fall in love, but life interferes. Chance brings them together again years later. This is their story, what’s yours? The show is directed by another Tomato pal, Amy Coleman.
