NYC LIFE: Virtual Fun, Giveaways, Social Distancing, Looking Ahead
Well Tomatoes, it is certainly a challenge to put together an “events” newsletter when just about everything this month is being cancelled. So, we will focus today on chilling out and making the most of our newfound time with suggestions on some virtual activities and ideas for entertaining yourself at home…and we have some giveaways. Valerie Smaldone has a powerful post, “We’re all in this together.” And we are rescheduling our April 6 Tomatoes Got Talent contest and will update you when we can. HOWEVER, our Renewal Summit is still a go for May 1, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! See below. Stay healthy and calm Tomatoes!
Please Help Us with Our Renewal Summit
Our Renewal Summit is still scheduled for May 1, and we are optimistic that will happen. Many of you have attended past summits and you know how excellent they are. This year’s will be no exception and we have a great lineup of panels and speakers. But as you know, the Renewal Summit is time consuming to produce and requires a substantial outlay of money.
Here’s how you can help. If you have been thinking about attending, please buy your ticket. We are extending the early bird discount to March 31 so you will also save $15. If we cancel the event or reschedule on a day you cannot be there, you will receive a full refund of your ticket. Thank you in advance.
We’re all in this Together
Valerie Smaldone writes today, “As someone whose entire lifestyle is based on frequenting theatre, restaurants, events and nightlife, having a packed calendar suddenly wiped clean is unsettling and uncomfortable, to say the very least.” But she says from this experience she has many lessons to learn. And she has great suggestions on how to help our small local businesses, restaurants and service business who are really suffering. Read on.
We Love This Gloria Gaynor Clip

Written by Richard Colton with our friend Judy Katz. And both books were produced by the audiobooks group of The Three Tomatoes Book Publishing.
We’re giving away 10 promo codes to download the books from Audible. And if you enjoy them we hope you’ll leave a great review.
