Oscars Recap and the Return of Glamour
One of the most delightful aspects of this year’s awards season has been the resurgence of classic Hollywood glamour with a modern flair. Thankfully, the days of barely-there dresses, over exposed boobs, excessive cutouts, and see-through outfits seem to be behind us. It’s been refreshing to see young actresses like Elle Fanning channeling the timeless elegance of icons such as Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.
As for the show itself—unsurprisingly, it was a bit too long. However, there were standout moments that kept us engaged, including the spectacular opening and the outstanding hosting by Conan O’Brien, who brought humor and charm to the evening.
One puzzling element, though, was the James Bond song medley—we’re still scratching our heads over that one. On a brighter note, the surprise of the night was undoubtedly Anora as best picture and best actress to Mikey Madison—I think this is the start of a great career for her . If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a quirky and hilarious film about a sex worker that’s worth checking out.
We were cheering for Demi Moore, who has been a vision of grace and elegance throughout this awards season, and she looked stunning once again. Timothée Chalamet also caught our attention with his bold fashion choice—a striking yellow leather suit that we absolutely adored.
The best acceptance speech of the evening, without a doubt, went to the ever-funny and charming Kieran Culkin
