Shmeditate
My meditation’s some excuse to brood
and mull over mistakes that I have made.
I often contemplate my fav’rite food
and wish someone would throw me a parade.
The endless roaming thoughts that won’t be tamed,
regrets and worries, memories that tug,
and villains whom I’m certain should be blamed,
conspire to make my meditation smug.
“It’s just a process, breathe, keep letting go,”
is what I tell myself most ev’ry day.
My mantra is a little feeble so
I oft forget to say it, what the hey?
O Namaste and Om are not effective.
My meditation is somewhat defective.
