Road Trip! Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival

Road Trip! Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival

How does a day trip to an Atlantic beach boardwalk at a seaside hotel where chocolate tastings will take place sound?

Pretty darn good to me, I must admit. Even better, because this excursion will take place off-season before the rush of traffic to the shore.

Next Saturday, head to beautiful Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, to the Atlantic Sands Hotel, where the 29th Harry K Foundation/Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival happens.

The wonderful Harry K Foundation launched this festival years ago as a fundraiser to help eradicate childhood hunger in the state of Delaware.

Chef Vincent Tropepe

You can enjoy delectable tastings from bakers, confectioners, and chefs incorporating chocolate into their recipes. There is a competition too and the head celebrity chef judge is award-winning chef and culinary personality Chef Vincent Tropepe. After judging the chocolate show, Chef Tropepe will be autographing copies of his culinary memoir and cookbook “In My Whites” and doing an exclusive meet and greet.

The Harry K Foundation/Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival, Saturday March 9 at 11 AM, at the Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center, 1 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach.

A ride to the beach, a walk on the boardwalk, chocolate tastings, and a way to help a great cause, all rolled in to one event!
