Romantic and Feminine Touches to Make You Feel Beautiful

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, love is in the air. That means right now is the perfect time to add some fun, feminine, and romantic touches to your wardrobe that will steal your heart. On top of that, February can be cold and dreary. Why not brighten up the entire month with bright pops of color, romantic date night looks, and fun statement pieces that reflect your unique beauty and style? Whether you’ll be celebrating the occasion with your one and only or grabbing cocktails and desserts with your best girlfriends for a “Galentine’s” Day celebration, get ready to light up any room you enter with these looks and accessories.

Look lovely in lace or ruffles. Ruffles and lace are the ultimate romantic embellishments. And don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to make them feel sophisticated, not fussy. Slip on a dress with a delicate lace overlay or wear a blouse with just a touch of frills to feel feminine and beautiful.

Slip on a silky camisole. Camisoles are the ultimate romantic and feminine garment, and they look great as a layering piece or when worn solo. For a workplace friendly Valentine’s day look, tuck a silvery white camisole into a pencil skirt and top it with a blazer. Or, for an edgier nighttime look, pair a black cami with dark denim and heels, and top the ensemble with a black leather jacket.

Step into a full skirt. A swishy knee-length or midi-length skirt is the perfect feminine piece for day or night. Pleated skirts of all lengths are very popular right now, so find one in a color and length that flatters you. Pair it with a pretty sweater or blouse, and don’t forget to lengthen your silhouette with a cute pair of heels.

Steal the spotlight in a figure flattering dress. Dress to impress your valentine with a dress that accentuates your womanly shape. A figure skimming body-con dress will hug your curves nicely and create a sexy shape that’s perfect for date night. Or, go for a flirty feminine look with a head-turning wrap dress that nicely accentuates your waist.

Light up the night with sparkles, sequins, or metallics. Turn up the heat with a shimmery top, skirt, or dress, or even sparkling heels. But remember, the key to pulling off a glittery or metallic garment is restraint. Allow this one statement piece to be the highlight of your look by keeping makeup, other clothing, and your accessories simple and neutral.

Color yourself crimson. Colorful splashes of poppy, raspberry, or burgundy are not only romantic, they are the perfect antidote to dark winter days. Find a way to incorporate them into your Valentine’s Day outfit. But keep in mind that you don’t have to go all out in a red dress to achieve this look (although you certainly should if you wish!) There are plenty of fun ways to experiment with red while staying in your comfort zone. Wear a velvety matte red lipstick. Carry a burgundy purse. Tie a bright pink scarf around your neck.

Spritz on a sexy scent. A subtle dab of fragrance can make you feel like your most sexy, powerful, and beautiful self. You can go romantic with a rosy, floral scent, or take the edge off winter’s chill with a warm sandalwood fragrance. Or tempt your partner with a scent that features delicious “dessert” notes like vanilla or cinnamon spice.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re single or attached: Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to fall in love with yourself and channel a fun, flirty vibe that makes you feel your best. And remember, when YOU wholeheartedly love YOU, others are sure to take notice.

Another great post. Love the sparkles and lace. Camisole dressing is my go to. It’s perfect for hot theaters. And Santal 33 is one of my favorite scents.
